About ECN
Through coaching, cohort training, speaking, podcasts, and a committed community of church leaders, ECN helps the Church rethink how leadership is carried.
Our Mission
ECN exists to equip pastors and rising church leaders with a framework for postmodern ministry that trains and releases leaders, distributes the work, and builds churches where the message is lived and carried by the body.
About Mike Glenn
ECN Founder + President
Mike Glenn founded Engage Church Network in 2024 after more than 40 years in ministry, including 32 years as senior pastor of Brentwood Baptist Church in Tennessee. After decades of leading one of the region’s most influential churches, Mike became convinced that the cultural and ministry shifts shaping today’s Church are not temporary disruptions but the early stages of a larger movement he calls the Second Reformation — a season in which ministry will once again live with and be carried by the body of the church rather than centralized on a stage.
Engage Church Network was born from that conviction. Through coaching, teaching, cohort formation, and thought leadership, Mike now works to equip pastors and rising church leaders to distribute leadership, multiply leaders, and build sustainable ministry structures for postmodern times.
Mike grew up in Huntsville, Alabama, deeply rooted in the life of the local church. His father was a local politician and business owner who also taught Sunday School for more than 40 years. His mother played the piano and sang in the church choir. From an early age, Mike experienced church not as a program, but as a shared life.
He graduated from Samford University and later earned both his M.Div. and D.Min. from Southern Seminary.
During his tenure at Brentwood Baptist Church, Mike helped guide significant growth and innovation, including the establishment of nine campuses, the relocation to its current debt-free campus on Concord Road, and the launch of several landmark ministries. These include the Ingram Center for the Deaf, encompassing the Church for the Deaf, the Deaf Theological Training Center, and Deaf Go Bible, as well as the Rowen Glenn Center for Special Needs and Kairos, a ministry for young adults. Mike is also the author of four books.
Mike married his wife, Jeannie, in 1980. They have twin sons, Chris and Craig, and four grandchildren who now receive most of his attention (and resources).
